Day of Silence for Girls Around the World

Posted by GURLSociety on July 1, 2012 at 11:25 PM

On June 30th, GURLS for Girl Up and GURLSociety held a Day of Silence for Girls Around the World. On this day they were able to reach 200+ people and spread awareness of Girl Up and the issues girls face around the world.

This was quite a successful event.

I felt that it was a little difficult when people would tried to talk to us and ask us questions and all we could do is head them a flyer with information. Overall I believe it was a very successful event. - Mienisha
